Über das Spiel
Metroid Prime ist ein erkundungsorientiertes 3D-Metroidvania mit Ego-Shooter-Mechanik und dem ersten 3D-Eintrag in der Metroid-Reihe. Es folgt Samus Aran nach den Ereignissen von Metroid (1986), als sie eine Weltraumpiratenfregatte betritt und dann ihren flüchtenden Erzrivalen Ridley in das kompliziert strukturierte Tallon IV jagt, einen Planeten voller tödlicher Wildtiere und ehemalige Heimat der fortschrittlichen und alten Chozo-Rasse.
Handlung
After receiving a distress signal from a Space Pirate frigate in orbit, bounty hunter Samus Aran boards the vessel and discovers the Pirates have been conducting biological experiments. When the frigate is destroyed, Samus pursues her nemesis Ridley to the surface of the planet Tallon IV, where she uncovers the remains of the Chozo civilization and the source of a toxic substance called Phazon that is corrupting the planet's ecosystem.
