Über das Spiel

Spyro the Dragon ist ein Plattformspiel, das von Insomniac Games für die PlayStation entwickelt wurde. Die Hauptrolle spielt der Titelcharakter, ein junger lila Drache namens Spyro und sein Libellenfreund Sparx, und es ist das erste Spiel der Spyro the Dragon-Reihe. Das erste Spiel erfreute sich bei seiner Erstveröffentlichung großer Beliebtheit und Spyro wurde später zu einer der bekanntesten, beliebtesten und angesehensten Gaming-Ikonen für die PlayStation-Spielekonsole. Spyros bester Freund, die Libelle Sparx, fungiert als Gesundheitsanzeige des Spielers und hilft beim Sammeln von Edelsteinen. Die verschiedenen Drachen, die Spyro unterwegs auftaut, sind auch Schlüsselfiguren in Spyros Fortschritt im Spiel. Gnasty Gnorc ist der Hauptgegner, der alle Drachen des Landes in Kristall eingefroren hat.

Handlung

The evil Gnasty Gnorc has turned all the dragons in the Dragon Lands into crystal. He has also stolen the dragons' gems by locking them up in chests or turning them into soldiers for his army. But he forgot about one little dragon: Spyro. Now Spyro has to travel through the dragon kingdom and free all the dragons from their crystal prison, recover the dragons' gems and defeat Gnasty Gnorc.
